I love this set tho I've never had one Bill. I've just understood the weird bubble frames on stands. Its a safari and I suppose that's where the 'trophies' were displayed! The captured aliens! I love spotting recycled parts in this set and I reckon I've seen another - the silver knobs that flip the bubble visor up on the space walker. I reckon they're off the Johnny Seven. It had a similar silver knob. I know I know. I'm seeing things!
Somewhere theres a full colour spread from a 1969/70 mail order catalogue with both this and the Apollo Moon Exploring box set on it. Possibly Marshall Ward or Great Universal. I remember deeing it distinctly at my sisters friends!

ReplyDeleteReally like HK-made space toys and their artwork. I never had this set, but had similar space sets. I think they had incredible play value.
