The houses, phone box and other accessories survive a wonderful Matchbox Motorway setup my dad made for me when I was about 7. He mounted the track on a big board, set up hills and bridges and dotted about four houses around it, with road signs, AA boxes and lamposts. I had no idea he was doing it and was led into the back room on my birthday, utterly blown away. Ive still got the base in the garage, but most of the track is now gone. We managed to preserve some of the model railway (Faller ?) kit houses for the train layout.
Gorgeous little scenes Bill. I particularly like the ones with the houses and shops. They look Continental. Almost Alpine. Fabulous!
