About to watch Shin Godzilla on Prime.

Just need my Chinese take-away and the evening will be 100% oriental.

Have you seen Shin Godzilla?

  1. In 2016,a chain of movie theatres showed very limited screenings of Shin throughout the U.S.My hometown of Mays Landing NJ had one of these screenings,so naturally I was the first in line for tickets.I try to view Godzilla on as big of a screen as possible, increasing the feeling Im about to be stomped!I wont spoil any movie details, but I will say that Toho, according to internet sources, has already ditched this unique storyline and re imagining of the character. It seems they are impressed with Legendary studios' re telling of Godzilla and King Kong, and the impending addition of other Toho monsters in 2019's new release "Godzilla,King of Monsters".Toho may be doing their own "expanded universe " of re designed characters in the future.I'll have to build onto my house to make room for all the new toys!P.S. glad to know you're feeling better.

    1. I enjoyed the Monster in Shin Brian, it was a spectacular Godzilla with its spray of back lasers and amazing laser breath. I loved its toothy face too but found the movement lumbering. Not sure why Toho made him so stiff. Stiff is generally how I found the human scenes, overly long and quite boring I'm afraid. I found the anti-American sentiment a distraction as well. So Monster good, actors bad.
