PARACHUTIST BATMAN

I've been  Batman fan since Adam West became the caped crusader.

So I was thrilled last year to find this old hard plastic parachuting Batman - still with the cape!

Made of thin plastic, its very fragile, so its unusual to find the cape still intact.

I'm not sure what the parachute looked like.

You had or got one of these readers?

  1. No but I remember having an inflatable Batman in about 1969!

    1. Inflatable? Wow! That's a new one on me Kevin! What did you do after he was blown up?

  2. Cracking car boot find, Woodsy. Amazing the cape survived. Looks like he could be by AHI (Azrak Hamway). They did an interesting variety of TV spin off parachutists, including Planet of the Apes and Star Trek figures, amongst others. Alas though sorry, I don't know what the parachute was like? :)

    1. AHI were brilliant for pocket money rack toys weren't they Tone. There's something quite beautiful about simple garish cheapo carded toys like this!
