Here are a few photos I’ve taken of the exclusive Martian
Exploration Vehicle made by Planet Replicas and only available from the
Official Gerry Anderson Store.
I'm a sucker for all things Zero X so I had to add this to the collection. At £34.99 plus postage it's a tidy sum for what's essentially a piece of shaped and painted resin, but as it's a limited run and it is Zero X! Who am I kidding,let's be honest it is a bit dear for what you get.
As you can see it’s based on the MEV seen briefly in the
first episode of Captain Scarlet and The Mysterons, and carries a fair amount
of detail.
This hand painted small resin model has a got a limited run
of 1000. Its size is approximately 60 mm x 46 mm x 31mm, so it fits in nicely
with any Konami model collection.
Here’s a size comparison with the MEV that comes with Aoshima
Zero X Captain Scarlet version.
It comes with a plastic display case and an attractive slip cover.

Oh yes, I prefer to try and do the images as it was in the TV series and try and capture the original feel.The space backgound gives a more alien and dramatic look to me. suppose it could be seen as nighttime on Mars. It might be interesting to try a pink background at some point just to see what it looks like.
