ELVIS HAS LEFT THE DASHBOARD

Messing around at a kids' farm the other week for our Grandson's birthday I found this in the car park discarded and alone in the gravel.

I recognised it immediately as the flared trousers of one Elvis Presley!

Oddly enough I once found the top half of this. I think it was possibly washed up in the tide-line on Videy, a small island we explored off the coast of Reykjavik and one associated with Charles Lindbergh more than rock'n'roll.

I may still have this top bit somewhere.

I hope to reunite the trousers and the torso soon.

The actual soft plastic figure was a popular dangler for a car's interior, a bit like fluffy dice once were, like this one on Wiki. Its sometimes called the Wackel Elvis or wobbling Elvis.

Whether this is a toy its hard to say but I couldn't just leave Elvis lying in the dirt. Like most collectors I am a sort of magpie after all!

Have you had or got a car dangler like this?
