A CONNECTICUT WOODLAND

Hello Woodsy

We have had a wet Summer and Autumn is slow in showing. We were in Connecticut recently and there was no visual sign yet of the trees turning colour.

We took a walk through the forest around the nearby lake and what usually has orange leaves at this time of year was positively green.

Mushrooms or toadstools were underfoot.

  1. Yes,the humidity has been ridiculous, hasnt it?Above 60% for 3 months straight now.On the 12th I had the thermostat programmed for air conditioning.on the 13th,I woke up to 39 degrees, and now I am programmed for heat. And yes,no color change here in New Jersey, although plenty of leaves have fallen.Spring and Autumn as we know it here are more brief than ever.

    1. I think the name Autumn maybe be superceded by Halloween Bri. You have made it your own!

  2. Here in New Hampshire we have riot of color and a flood of leafpeeprs. The wife almost hit a family crossing a 70 mph marked highway to take pictures. It's definetly turned cold.
