BRITIANS WORZEL AND THE SCARECROW MIX-UP: FOR TONY K

Tony mentioned his Worzel head. At a recent car boot I ummed and ahhed about a small plastic figure lead in a box of bits between my feet.

I had thought it was this Britains Worzel Gummidge figure, played by the brilliant John Pertwee [not to be confused with Catweazle played by Geoffrey Bayldon!]

Actually on reflection, what I saw is this Britains scarecrow with a crow on his arm.

I shoukd have picked him up and checked at the time!

Do you like Britains toys or Worzel Gummidge or Catweazle readers?

Have you got a Worzel head?

  1. I seem to recall a Worzel action figure or doll of sorts, Woodsy. I'm sure he had interchangeable heads as well. There may even have been an Aunt Sally?
I can't remember who produced him though?

    1. Rorschach. Ha ha. Great name for a scarecrow. He was my fave character in the watchmen movie.
