This book " Space in the palms" is in Russian and has some amazing model illustrations. It was published in 1984 in the Soviet Union in Moscow. I saw it online on Ebay and saved these images. What do you think of the models readers?
Always interesting to see ideas of space travel from a Soviet perspective, Woodsy. Nice examples of Soviet space toys turn up on eBay as well. Although I don't have any, I think they're worth looking out for :)
the Lunar Climber looks like its been adapted from a Saturn soviet toy. The big models on the bottom of page 124 of the Vwnera Venus probe and Luna 9 are cool too!
The Soyus Planetary Rover on the bottom of page 85 still exists and I have it in my collection of space toys. I have it's entire history all the way back to 1981. It is quite a piece of engineering with 7 electric motors
