PLASTIC TOY WRECKER TOYS

Lots of interesting stuff in these scanned catalogue pages Bill B sent me ages ago.

The yellow 8WD vehicles on the right are Earthworms as far I can tell.

The red and white recovery truck on the right could be very similar to the Century 21 version shown below.

Here's a similar Marx version

Have you got a wrecker truck?

  1. Only small wreckers with my Matchboxes, Woodsy. They hauled many cars away. Loved those old catalogs too. They would usually arrive from Sears, Montgomery Wards, and one or two smaller stores. Hours would be spent over the next month looking at the massive assortment of toys, until I had memorized almost each page! Kids nowadays don't know what they're missing.

    1. Old catalogues were just brilliant werent they Jim! I agree. Even the household goods sections were fabulous! It was the same here in the UK. Do you still collect toys in Nevada?

    2. Not collecting much now, especially with Toys R Us closing all stores. In fact, today (Friday) is the final open day. Still have a garage and storage unit full though, collected over the years!
