Brian F's Almost in Orbit


Hi Woodsy,

Here's a view from the Hard Rock Casino, 50th floor, Atlantic City, USA. 

Not the tallest tower I've worked in, but I'm that much closer to outer space!

    I hear that H.O.B. is to re-open soon.I hope so, Ive seen some great shows there.

    In the last 10 years I've had the pleasure of seeing Motorhead,Iggy Pop and the surviving Stooges,Social Distortion,Reverend Horton Heat,Alice Cooper and Ace Frehley.It was a very intimate concert hall,I've never seen more than 500 to 800 people in attendance.It's a shame that it closed with it's parent casino,Showboat, but fingers crossed it may open again on its own.

      I had a holiday in the US back in 92, I did L.A. For a week, did the ride based parks, saw some bands( Big Sandy & Dave 'n' Deke) then Vegas for a week. The highlight of the trip was walking into the studio where they made Ren and Stimpy! Met John K too not long before he was sacked from his own show!!!- Mark J

      You guys have seen some great stuff. I saw Hawkwind at Glastonbury but never seen Motorhead. My favourite gig was Budgie at Lancaster University in the 70's, the great Welsh hard rockers.
