HAUNTED HOUSE AT MOONBASE

Moonbase Grandson has a plastic singing light-up house.

It recalls those fabulous Haunted House toys of the Sixties, which fortunately have all been pictured on online auctions.

Perhaps the most famous of the tin banks, the Hootin Hollow House by Marx with its gorgeous box

here's one from my own childhood, the Aurora Adams Family House. I adored the moving ghosts that appeared in the windows and doorways. It was my older Brothers in the Sixties. 

I bought the Polar Lights re-issue in the early Nineties, which was a challenge to build but I got there. I sold it at a toy fair. This one is the Playing Mantis re-issue seen online. I'm sure I've read there are lighting kits available to illuminate these houses. Is that right?

Finally to my favourite and one of the best toys/ games I ever had as a kid, Haunted House by Denys Fisher. Known by my friends back then as Drop it Down the Chimney we all really enjoyed playing this game. A real icon and one that inspired several re-incarnations like Scream Inn and Ghost Castle.

Nothing reminds me of my monstrous childhood like Haunted House! I always wanted a business card based on the Wanda The Wicked / Glenda the Good cards you got in it too!
