The latest craze in schools here in the UK is slime.
It comes in pots, bags and loose in shops that only last year were stocking fidget spinners. Kids are even making it in Technology classes. Apparently it involves Borax.
Slime tends to be a cold, damp blob that fits on the palm of the hand. It comes in different colours and can be stretched, folded, thrown and squeezed. Kept in a pot it can also make poopy sounds when pushed in!

Yes, I remember green slime in the Sixties. Loved the stuff! Its a classic like the Slinky and Super Balls and shows no sign of drying up!

I loved doing this when I was 14. Have you ever tried it?
I remember that in the 90's when I was in primary school we had something simmilar.

- slime balls
- slime ropes/"grab hands"
it was often seen sticking (could take few days until it fell of by itself) to the ceiling or high placed windows. After few days it was banned in school for "destroing school property".
Inital run of those were add-ons toys from Donald Duck magazine, later it was aviable in most of local shops as "pacłapka" (Smack Paw?)

DeleteNot only Masters of the Universe, Woodsy. Remember, Kenner's legendary mid-80s Real Ghostbuster Fire Station (Firehouse) Headquarters, also came with a pot of supernatural slime or ghostly goop called Ecto-Plazm :)

The sticky hands or feet are used by drummer's to dampen the skins on a "lively" drum kit, my daughter has the slime but it dries out quickly, I always preferred Silly Putty, even better was Silly Paté as featured in Amazon women on the moon- Mark J

DeleteSlime is back in vogue here in the States because the kids can easily make it with a product called Elmer's Glue All.Slime was so popular last year that stores had a shortage of Elmer's because the kiddies bought it all!My grand daughter is probably too "grown up" for slime, but years ago I helped her make homemade Play Doh. We had fun
