are you struggling to get up?

I'm struggling to get up this month!

The alarm sounds at 6.30am giving me 30 minutes snoozing but even so I really don't want to leave my warm pit!

I literally dragged myself out this morning at 7.20 and I'm now running late!

I think its the darkness outside, the cold landing and a strong desire to not go to work which are making it hard to get up.

What do you do to rise and shine in Winter?

  1. I've never had a problem getting up in the morning. I used to get up at 5:15 as I had a 45 minute drive to work each day (hated that and the job!). Now I've packed it in, I still get up early, always been that way! Mind you,as the saying goes, 'Early to bed and early to rise, does a man in and he very soon dies'!

  2. Well, we can all see how productive you are with your free time Kev. I spend nearly 30 hours a week helping educate a generation of morons who have no interest in anything except Xbox and watching Xbox on You Tube! can't wait to jack it in too!

  3. I have a rare weekday off work due to inclement weather, and here I am typing away at 5 AM.Perhaps it's just my internal clock, or maybe because I can potentially get lots of stuff done today, and have an extra leisurely weekend.I guess my advise is to have a project,no matter how small,to look forward to.Maybe a book chapter to read or a part of a model kit to build.

  5. I've always been an early bird and am awake about 5.30. I always manage to wake up before the alarm goes off. Work flexitime so I'm in work just after 7am - a 30 min drive to work that early beats the rush hour. This past few weeks it's been more and more difficult to get out of bed though and the next few days are going to be freezing. What I want to know though is how come time goes faster when you're in bed? Just lying there thinking I can have another 15 mins, close your eyes and half an hour has gone!

  6. Yep, Yorkie. Snoozing is a twice the speed for some reason. Probably because we enjoy it so much. Whoever invented the snooze button deserves a Knighthood. Rise Sir Snooze!
