Following on from the post I did yesterday on the 1999 Titbits article, a couple of people commented about the Space City image being used on one of the Letraset Action Transfer sets.
Well, the image above is borrowed from a fabulous site, which features pretty much everything you'd want to know about Letraset.
The American PrestomagiX stuff looks to be pretty much the same sort of thing, Brian. I'm assuming by what you say that Letraset wasn't sold in the States. I don't know whether PrestomagiX was on sale here in the UK.
According to the link , Gillete was a partner in producing Letraset during the early '80's.then left to produce PrestomagiX in the States. Some of the early Letrasets look to be larger than the PrestomagiX.All the same, I enjoyed them as a child.Colorforms sets were also a fave because you could set them up again and again.
Very informative link,Scoop.I was curious about the similarity to the Gillete/PrestomagiX sets I used to buy with pocket change back in the 80's.

ReplyDeleteYeah,I must say I feel quite nostalgic about them, Brian. The backing pictures are really nice pieces of artwork.
