Corgi constructor set

Hi

I picked up this neat Corgi constructor set last year.

You can swap the backs on these Commer vans to make a variety of commercial vehicles.

I had one as a kid and it was one of the few toys that I always kept in its box, since it was handy for storage.

My new example is missing its milkman and a bench seat that goes in the pickup body, but replacement parts are available.

The red cab has a form of fibre optic (well, okay it's just a perspex rod but it still uses total internal reflection) that gathers ambient light and makes the headlights bright!

Take care,

Kevin

  1. Miniature pic on the blogroll looked like it had REAL car not a toy
And that's why old Diecast cars are great

    2. Yes, that is the most important skill when it comes to this hobby
My Girlfriend is into "toy photography" (Not toy - like "toy", but like action figures/anime figures etc.)
But still the quality of tools (cameras etc.) and the thing you want to photography (sometimes "worn down" items looks way better and more "realistic" than clean mint condition ones) is the hardest to get (quality is costly thing).

I know that it is blatant self promotionm and it is a different kind of "toys" compared to the ones posted in your's blog. But please visit and have fun

    3. Lovely pictures on figurephotochallenge Ranalcus. Your girlfriend is very talented. Do you think the West's love of cuddly Japanese figure characters started with Pokemon or Hello Kitty or is it much older than that?

    4. I am sure it started in West during the 80's
But in Japan I would say around 60's with all those "magical girls" stuff
