2000 ad part work

Picked up the new 2000 AD special hardback comic book from WH Smiths.

Have you?

Its the first part of one of those part-works so it was cheap. The subsequent issues will all be a lot more expensive so I won't be buying them.

I had thought this initial book was a repro of the iconic issue one of the comic but it isn't as far as I can see.

I can't decide whether to open the packet and read the book or leave it for posterity.

What would you do?

  1. Buy another one - then you can do both.

  2. Read it and enjoy it. The original comics will be ones that are worth a fortune. If you leave it for posterity all that will happen is you get no joy out of it and your kids will throw it in the skip one day :)

    1. I might well open it up. Do you really think our kids will bin everything we have?

    2. Not everything. If we let them know how much something is worth they could auction it off or put it on Ebay. I'm sure they'll also keep a few things to remember us by but these are things our generation was into, the next has their own interests and their own kids will have theirs. Time moves on. Oh this is so depressing, I'm going to have a hot chocolate to cheer me up !
