remain in light?

Just getting ready to go and celebrate Missus Moonbase's birthday at our daughter's. Listening to Talking Heads' Remain Light from 1980. A brilliant album. I've always assumed that the phrase remain in light was taken from the military/ air force as the back cover depicts illuminated planes. Does anyone know if that's right?

Full LP courtesy of You Tube.
