russian moonship?

This caught my eye, a Russian space plane called the LK1 online.

It's looks a lot like this tin Chinese Moonship we have featured many times.

Do you think the Russian and Chinese toys' main bodies are more or less the same?

  1. They certainly look very similar. I know that Chinese tin toys often copy other countries, eg. older Japanese designs.

  2. I think Andy's right. I do like the rusty, almost derelict look, of the Russian Space Plane though, Woodsy. Conjures images of the sort of thing I'd hope to see in one of those vast aircraft boneyards for decommissioned old planes. Looks like a toy which was certainly enjoyed in its day :)
