I think Andy's right. I do like the rusty, almost derelict look, of the Russian Space Plane though, Woodsy. Conjures images of the sort of thing I'd hope to see in one of those vast aircraft boneyards for decommissioned old planes. Looks like a toy which was certainly enjoyed in its day :)
They certainly look very similar. I know that Chinese tin toys often copy other countries, eg. older Japanese designs.
