I can't say for sure what the limited number was as there's no indication I can read on the packaging.
My example doesn't have any issues with any of the wheels, but as its resin, it may well be others did. The wheel arrangement is fairly simple, just steel spindles with the wheels attached, and as its very easy to take the model apart I would imagine it would be relatively simple to rectify any problems.
for me, the model's overall appeal is it's larger size, and how it looks on display.

Deletei heard they only made 500 and they had major problems with the rear wheels not spinning feely
