SUPERSIZE TAG THUNDERBIRD 1 FROM VIVID

The iRMG site is reporting that Vivid are releasing a Supersize Thunderbird 1 this year, or at least showing off a prototype which is apparently 35 cm long. I hope it's true, considering the fun I've had with the Supersize Thunderbird 2&4, and the massive Thunderbird 3 - watch this space, eh!

    2. Sadly, things don't bode well for the Supersize TB1 , as Vivid were acquired by an equity firm called Privet in March this year, so the prototypes on show at the toy fair, including the Supersize TB1 and Lady Penelope and Parker action figures don't look like they're going to be released anytime soon, if at all.

  4. I have been waiting a whole year nearly for the TB1 supersize to be released and now this morning that Vivid have bèen taken over by this Equity Firm! So my big question is what has happend with Vivid Imaginations company?? have they lost alot of money on sales or is it down to bad management or what? or is it to do with the current bad climate at the moment ( which would be the easy excuse to give) Well, if they dont release T.A.G. (Thundsrbirds Are Go!) TB1 supersize by Xmas, l will personally drive to there offices and demand to tell me why this model TB1 supersize is not out and on sale?

    1. amen bro just do it and honestly such a toy would be cool as hell if they just modify the design to look at least 50% better than the prototype

  5. I think this new firm should continue the project of creating and releasing TB1, it has been too long for everyone to wait, providing next week is the last month of 2017! and l will be very angry if this ends up never to be released! especially as l habe spent alot of time waiting for the other craft to be released as well as spending my hard earnt cash! to complete my old and new collection, my new collection wont be complete with out Supersize TB1 and TB5...Fab 1 would be great a supersize! there is enough craft abd vechicles in the T.A.G (Thunderbirds Are Go) to keep kids and adults full filled and happy! and This New Firm should achknowledge the thunderbirds fans and collectors!

    1. no they haven't they're going to carry on because they do have the rights do you understand

  7. Considering the toys didn't appear to sell well, and found themselves in bargain bins fairly quickly I can understand that perfectly. Why would the new company bother to renew the rights. Even the short lived comic from DC Thomson didn't do well once the little free TB toys disappeared. The final 13 episodes (Plus one that was held from transmission in the UK, in respect to the Grenfell Tower tragedy) have yet to aired, but apart from organised enthusiasm from a few social media pages, and some Thunderbird toy collectors I get the impression that the interest in the UK has probably waned with the younger target audience.

  9. I really hope it lands in Australia. Vivid's Thunderbirds toys have stopped being sold here and it has me worried. I even had to search for 5 days to find a Supersize TB3 in my area.

    1. The licence for TAG toys have gone to Bandai now. They are releasing a limited range of figures and vehicles later on in the year. I think they'll gauging how much interest remains in the series before they do invest in new toys.

    2. I went ahead and contacted them and they replied, this is what they got back to me with
      "Hello,

    3. I think that confirms it, I don't think the Supersize Thunderbird 1 will be making an appearance anytime soon, unless the held back episodes prove to be a big hit.

    2. As Vivid has long since lost the license to produce Thunderbirds toys, I think it's fair to say that the Supersize Thunderbird 1 has been sadly cancelled, Thomas.
