I've just remembered chocolate tools.
I used to love them!
You know, chocolate saws, hammers and screwdrivers. Drills even!
I think they came wrapped in foil or even in boxed sets. Do you remember them readers?
And what about chocolate pipes and cigarettes! They were delicious. You could even eat the cigarette paper!
I'm pretty sure I had a chocolate cigarette lighter too and some cigars wrapped in foil.
I reckon I got the lot as a box set as well one Christmas. Not politically correct anymore but damn tasty.
Ring any chocolate bells with you?
yep, every xmas, I got a set! they were not wrapped, I think you might be misremembering the little penny cadburys bars in purple foil. but yes, saw, hammer, ruler. Fab!
ReplyDeleteMiserembering eh....happens a lot to me. My servos are getting rusty.
DeleteI don't remember them being wrapped either, although I well-remember the tools themselves. I think they lay in a display box, and you just picked out whatever ones you wanted. (Not very hygienic.) Do you remember MB Bars? There's a pic of one on my blog.
ReplyDeleteThe right tool for the gob, ha ha! I shall check out your blog Kid, ta. MB bars ring a bell.
DeleteI've a very vague memory of these, although I preferred the junior smokers kits, complete with chocolate cigars with coloured paper rings, a chocolate pipe, and those odd tasting cigarettes wrapped in paper which were hard to remove and got stuck in your mouth. They don't seem to sell Junior Smokers kits thesedays for some reason.
