Yes, John Glenn was the real thing. Matt Mason in the flesh. I imagine that it's only our generation who will mourn his passing. Like a traveller from another time he went into space, came home and has gone back for good now taking part of our childhood with him. Rest in space John.

ReplyDeleteI remember watching the early Mercury flights on a small black and white TV with rabbit ears as a small child. The end of an era for sure.
