what did you do when you got in from school?

I was thinking today what I used to do when I got in from school as a kid.

First thing would be to remove any school tie that might have been strangling me half to death. Second came off the shoes. Third would be a raid on the bread bin and fridge.

I adored thick white bread, butter and chivers strawberry jam, all washed down with a tall glass of ice cold whole milk! Yumm mee!

With a jammy milky tash I'd sit in front of the telly and watch Thunderbirds.

Those were the days!

What about you readers, what did you do after school?

  1. Memory tells me - Curley Wurley and cheese and onion crisps, with Jackanory and The Tomorrow People on telly. Ah, happy days, Woodsy :)

    1. What a fab combo Tone! I still love salty crisps and chocolate! Yours is a killer. I have to try it! and the telly programs were pretty neat too. Do you think Jackanory would work now?

  2. There was an adult version of stories called 'Crackanory', broadcast in 2013... I kid you not Woodsy :) Link below. Sadly I don't think the original format of wonderfully narrated fiction would be able to compete against the Xbox.
