ANDERSON TOY CABINET

Here's a cool Anderson toy collection I saw on Planet Die Cast. It belongs to one Sierra 1. There's some interesting debate about the meaning of the Rosenthal monogram too.

    1. I know what you mean Tony. My display is poor by comparison. Is your collection on display?

  2. I do have things kinda on display Woodsy. The house is populated with other peoples stuff which I've enjoyed collecting over the years. I like these things and have them as decor. My very tolerant and bemused wife has a different take on things though, and the hurtful word 'clutter' sometimes crops up :D
Most of the toys are carefully stored away in a spare room. But I've one old toy display cabinet in the living room. Over time, it's contents have out grown it. Truth is, it now looks like a storage unit instead of a toy display cabinet. I really need to invest in a couple of decent display cabinets. Trouble is they're expensive and whenever I have the necessary funds saved, more toys comes along and I give into temptation and spend the cabinet funds on these instead. Ah, one day I'll get there, Woodsy :)

    1. Collecting is at odds with today's clutter-free minimalism and keeping a tidy toy display is hard for sure Tone. I have glass one that's turned into a store as well but its stuck in the loft so out of the way. I did treated myself to another tall and all-glass cabinet from Ikea last year for £40. I was there a few weeks ago again and they still have them! One of my biggest worries is light, which could pale boxes and backing cards. I have put my toy boxes away from sunlight, which is a shame as they look great in displays. A toy dilemma!
