Beautiful boxes Scoop. A whole collecting genre in its own right and huge in the US I understand. I don't recall having a lunch box like this when I was a kid worst luck. I had a satchel with food in too I think. The only pail [is that the same, lunch pail?] I remember buying was a mint repro Green Hornet box at a shop in New York along with a repro anniversary version of the Captain Action Green Hornet outfit.
When I was a avid car booter I used to find plastic lunch boxes all the time. Sometimes if I was lucky they had the thermos in as well. The last one, about five years ago, was a bright yellow Thundercats box. I never found a single metal lunch box. Maybe because they are older they rusted and fell apart? I did once find a tin Bonanza coffee mug with Ponderosa written on one side and Hoss pictured on the other.
