That's interesting that Tony. I'd always assumed it was Xmas for everyone but then thought maybe not. Were you on holiday in Stockton?

Yes, I remember racks of comics in various places especially in the summer when all the summer specials were avaialable. So did you get most of your toys in the Summer too?
ReplyDeleteYes we usually got an Aurora model on arrival, something from the local newsagent in Yarm in the afternoon,then at least 3 trips to Brown's to stock up on more Aurora, britains,mego etc.Even the local vg store had brilliant toys and even the hardware store had Aurora kits!

ReplyDeleteChristmas was usually 3 big presents bikes,action man etc. Birthdays one big one and money.Being sick usually comics.
ReplyDeleteon my birthday and christmas.. but at the end of school in summer too.... lego and toy soldiers.. but some space toys.. matchbox adventura 2000 series... i have some veichles again.... 40 years old toys... ew
ReplyDeleteWell done EW on getting back those Adventure 2000 die casts, They always reminded me of small UFO SHADO mobiles, which I adored as a kid.
