NEW PROJECT SWORD DISCOVERY: SILVER TASK FORCE 3 "SPACE ROCKET"

The second of this new year's galleries of new Project SWORD toys, this one is a real gem and premieres here for the first time.

From a heads-up by the ever generous Mr. Paul Vreede, the photographs have been kindly taken for Moonbase by owner John Eaton.

A truly unique Project SWORD knockoff toy, I give you the "Space Rocket". Enjoy now, study later.

  1. A whole new SWORD frontier! What a fabulous knock-off. Could this find explain also Bill's metallic green TF1?

    1. Yes, I think your'e right Arto. Pity Bill let his go for a packet of chewing gum and some plastic soldiers! [only kidding Bill!]. We have had a similar chromed TF3 on the blog way back in 2008 from Australia but it wasn't exactly the same. it was missing its dome and there was no backing card. When the dust settles on this new one I'll post pics of all three metallic toys together. Glad you like this one, its a corker!

  2. aargh, thats right, rub it in. My T1 didnt have USAF markings, just a small paper decal. Im thinking, having seen these, there must be a metallic red one somewhere too!

  3. Its fascinating how this knockoff has both a SWORD toy and an LP Astronaut, which I assume they were 'inspired' to do by SpaceX or Golden Astronaut! A crossover toy a bit like the Tarheel SWORD SPC. They were all obviously keen to get on the bandwagon and flog those toys! So. which company released this TF3? We know that Tarheel did a white version and I have the boxed SL white version, which is probably a knockoff of the Tarheel one. I do have blogged pics of another chromed TF3 found in Australia but it was undomed and uncarded and slightly different. Who would have access to silvering up a TF3 and a stash of LP spacemen? Imperial?
