STAR WARS SCRATCH BUILT LIGHT SABRE PROP BY KEVIN D

Hi,

I've photographed my only Star Wars replica, my scratchbuild of Luke's lightsabre from Part IV. I'm not really a big Star Wars fan (wrong age?) but I've always liked this prop.

The originals were made from old camera flash units that go for a fortune nowadays (because of fans making replicas I suspect!).

Mine is incredibly cheap (and probably a bit inaccurate!), made from an old aluminium pipe, a projector lens and some scraps.

Take care,

Kevin

  1. May I loan it for the screening of The Force Awakens which begins in three hours? Might come handy :-)

  2. I think that's a most convincing piece of work (despite recognising some of the parts :) Does it have a light inside? You could easily fit a few laser pointers in there.

  3. Thanks. No I never thought to put a light in it. Good idea though, I should've thought of it!
