OK readers, this is a heads-up for the seventh bloggiversary grand competition 2015 coming tomorrow, Wednesday 16th!
I must say that we have without doubt one of the best prizes we've ever had this time.
Through the generosity of two particular individuals we will be offering not only one but two parts to the one and only grand prize.
If you win the competition then you will receive a brand new and mint issue of TV21 number 243 [comic cover shown below and actual comic further down] which was released in 2014.
Issue 243 was part of a limited edition box set of Gerry Anderson materials called Filmed in Supermarionation and produced by Network Distributing Ltd. The comic contained a new Project SWORD story called Ring of Fire, written by Shaqui Le Vesconte, which came with a single original illustration by Paul McCaffrey.
Hi,
Thanks for your email about the TV21 comic. I'm afraid this is not available to buy separately, at least at the moment, but we'd be happy to donate one to you for a competition prize.
Please do credit Network, and if possible, include a link to the boxset which contains the comic: http://networkonair.com/shop/2038-supermarionation-box-set-blu-ray--5027626708146.html
It may also interest you or your readership to know, we are soon to be releasing Space 1999 series 2 on Blu-ray and DVD and they're available to pre-buy now: http://networkonair.com/features/space1999/

But that's not all folks! As well as the TV21 comic, you will also receive the artist Paul McCaffrey's original paper sketch that he did for his Project SWORD Ring of Fire illustration in TV21 #243 detailed above. The paper sketch you will win is this one shown directly below:
It differs from the final printed illustration in the comic, which is pictured below. The two illustrations together form a significant pair and clearly show the development of the imagery between sketch and final artwork, which in Paul's words was "to
make my illustration consistent with the text".
These represent part of the first official commission to illustrate a Project SWORD story since 1969 and whoever the lucky winner is will own a piece of Project SWORD history.

The two parts of this grand prize will be posted to the winner in a special flat pack donated by Network. The flat card pack has TV21 printed on it - shown below - and will be shipped in a large envelope/bag.
[ the above photographs show the actual card case and TV21 comic you will win. The original Paul McCaffrey sketch is not shown. The red TOP SECRET dot is not part of the prize!]
Details and rules of the actual competition, which will be pictorial, will be on the blog TOMORROW, Wednesday at 3.30pm [15:30] UK Time. Have your thinking caps on as there can only be one winner!
