HAPPY BREAKAWAY DAY

As many of you Space 1999 fans will know, today marks the fortieth anniversary of the beginning of Moonbase Alpha's outer space adventures -




Although, technically, according to Wikipedia the TV series did air on UK TV  on Friday 4th September 1975, its the 13th we fans prefer.



  So, Happy Breakaway Day folks.



Coincidently, it's Barbara Bain's birthday today, so many happy returns to her too.

    I'm not a 1999 fan, not by design but by accident. It simply passed me by. I blame heavy Rock music and girls! As for Breakaway, oddly enough its the only episode I've seen, which was at the 2010 TV21 convention one morning in the screening room. I enjoyed it a lot and wish readers who are fans like Scoop a very happy anniversary week.
