Here's the Action Man jet Paul mentioned. I never had one of these babies I don't think. It must have been huge!
I did have the large truck and a jeep.
Oddly enough I have two Barbie jets in the loft. They are ginormous! There's even a working microphone! Keep meaning to put them on a car boot stall I have now and then buy they're so damn big!

Right... that's different from the one I've seen, which must've been a GI Joe jet then. This one:

Which is basically a Grumman F9F.
Sizewise they're both large toys, but still enormously underscale. As is the Scorpion tank, the armoured car etc. GI Joe and Action Man are 1/6 scale, so the Scorpion would need to be around 3 times as large as it is, and those jets... easily 10 times bigger?
As you probably know, 1/6 figures have progressed into much more realistic models for adult collectors. And where there's various armour to go with it. Tiger tank is the size of a coffee table!
That Barbie thing is rather erm... quaint. How that survived windtunnel testing is beyond me!
