A few photos I've taken of the Lancaster Bomber at the various Southport Airshows, plus a movie I took of The Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight as a small tribute to New Zealander Sqn Ldr John Leslie Munro, who was the last surviving pilot of the famous Dambusters mission during World War II.
Beautiful Aircraft Scoop, and brave men who flew in them to help keep us free.
ReplyDeleteAn older friend's father was one of the Dam Busters (he survived the war). Wonderful aircraft and a great tribute to the men who flew them.
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly an iconic aircraft folks, and linked to some incredible bravery. Hopefully I'll see it again this weekend at the Blackpool Airshow.
