Really sad news, I have always been a big fan of The New Avengers and have recently become more enamoured of the original series. MacNee is brilliant in all of them. This is most upsetting.
I agree with you and Kevin Scoop. Truly sad news. Patrick McNee's Steed was one of those essential characters during our childhood.like Dr. Who or The Saint. When each episode of the Avengers finished each week I was so sad, I just wanted more! I hope Patrick rests in peace. I'm sure Doncaster girl Diana Rigg will be upset.
Sad day. Been watching the Avengers each night on.the Freeview Horror Channel There's an interesting comment on one of the newspaper websites today that made me smile - the definition of British is Patrick Macnee as John Steed.
