END OF THE YEAR MYSTERY SPACE TOY
This strange contraption is currently on the bay. Its a mystery to the seller who suggests among other things that it might be Project SWORD.
It isn't but does anyone know what the heck it is? I don't
MY FAVOURITE TOY OF 2014
Inspired by Woodsy's earilier post on his favourite toys on eBay during the year, I'm pretty sure which is my favourite find and purchase on eBay in 2014 - The magnificent Mattel Eagle 1 complete with crew.
This ranks up there with the likes of the Century 21 Zero X , the Spacex Moonbase and the Dinky S.P.V. as one of my favourite toys.
I count myself very lucky finding one with most of it's accessories still present, and getting it at a price that didn't break the bank.

Although I never owned one as a youngster, being a big kid now I love it.

THUNDERBIRDS COMIC COLLECTION
Found this Thunderbirds Comic Collection hard back book on The Works website going for the princely sum of £2 + p.p.. It's a book of reprints from TV 21, in amongst some modern cut aways. When it came out last year it was going for a hefty £25 so it's a heck of a discount. I believe some Works shops in the UK are also selling it for £3.99.
Definitely worth a punt.
A ROUND-UP OF MY FAVOURITE TOYS ON EBAY THIS YEAR, 2014
2014 was another great year on Ebay for collectors for SWORD, SpaceX, Century 21 toys and friends. Here is a run down of some of my favourites, which appeared on the Bay during the last 12 months.
First up are these beautiful boxed Century 21 Toys, which all unusually carry the factory label on the box front. Seller Toymart very kindly sent me close-ups for the blog. If you have any idea what the abbreviation son the labels mean then do get in touch.
Toymart told me that the toys came from an old gentleman who used to be toy wholesaler and who had 2 toy shops himself. When he closed the business he put all the remaining stock in his garage and left it there for 40 years, which Toymart bought.
I also loved these NOVA rockets, which were unusual on two counts. They are carded and were released by Durham rather than Tarheel.
I also loved this boxed Moon Base set by Hover, which eagle-eyed Arto spotted in February. Wonder who won it? Its a beautiful and complete glider in there.
