The story so far..
Took receipt of two Marx tanks, one working, one not. I plan to make one into a "Century 21" toy and the other into a realistic looking replica of the Project Sword Hover tank for me!
Method: cover the tank chassis in a plasticard shell that looks like the hover tank body. Cover in appropriate detail. Alter tank turrets to be more like the Hover tank one. Allow the replica one to turn, preserve the one for the toy to act as battery cover as it does on Marx toy.
Finally, paint and decal.
At the moment, I'm still part way through the turret work. I will need to add all the lower hull details, the fins, grilles etc. The working one goes backwards and forwards.
Hope you like the way its looking so far. I will keep you updated with pictures.

Looking great Kevin. What filler are you using in the pics and what grit sanding paper/sticks/files?
