Looking at Wote's recent post showing his Dalek Saucer and the two small Daleks that came with it prompted me to dig out a few photos I took a while back of my Rolykin Daleks.
Lovely pics Bill. Oddly enough, in a box of bits, I picked up one of their yellow eyes on stalks - the top thingie - the other day here at Moonbase and had no idea what it was. Now I do!
Its probably just a coincidence, but their shapes are similar to the daleks Richard Jennings drew in the early days of TV21 and the first Dalek Annuals.
I've got 5 or 6 of the little rascals. Although I only ever had one brand-new one as a kid (and I had the box for years afterwards), I bought several of them at a jumble sale a year or two later. Never kept any of them 'though - the ones I have now were purchased much later.

ReplyDeleteThat's very true Andy. A lot of the box art on toys and games of the sixties were much the same too.
