SWISS ROLL

This is possibly the oldest toy I've ever been near. It was in an Architecture Museum in Switzerland, a beautiful little wooden train, which looks like its just rolling along the ancient timber floor. I took two shots: without flash above and with flash below. Which do you prefer?

  1. Lovely composition Woodsy! Although from a collectors perspective the shot with flash shows necessary detail, from an artistic and aesthetic standpoint, the upper photo is the better one. It caprures that late afternoon atmosphere nicely.
One minor comment though, turn off the date stamp on the camera!

  2. Date stamps are left on as these are holiday snaps. The date helps us remember where we were and what we were doing. Amazingly, when we left the Swiss Museum a postcard was in sale of virtually the same as the top photo of the wooden train!
