Lancha Harbour 355 - Roxy Toys Boat

Received this this month in my postbag: "Hi, I have this ship: Antigua Lancia Harbour 355 Roxy Toys. I've Sent photos of its condition".

Anyone else got one readers? Maybe a box?

What's the story with Roxy toys? Anyone know?

  1. Only things I know about Roxy is that they started in Kowloon, HK in 1965 and survived till as recently as 2003.

Apart from the 'Moon Traffic' Spacex copies we all know, I think they're best known for a range of attractive car toys they produced from the start until at least the mid-70s. These are about 1/24 scale and pretty accurate models usually with friction drive (I have their 1966 Mustang in my toy Mustang collection and it's very nicely detailed). Try 'roxy toy car' on epay and you'll usually find some. Clifford had their logo printed on the boxes for the UK.
Any other toys like that tug are as new to me as they are to you. :)

    Hope this helps -- Paul

  2. That's fab Paul, thanks for your insights. I think I've had a few Roxy cars over the last ten years - found at boot sales and sold on the bay. The logo is a mustang isn't it? Do you think they kust knocked off SpaceX or might they have asked?

    1. Look at second pic from bottom. Looks like top unscrews from bottom. Battery case is inside red base.
