CORVETTE CACHE

I picked up these little plastic cars in an antiques centre in Rotherham today. Very cheap and colourful, I find then very endearing. The corvette is my favourite recalling the curves of Red Line Hot Wheels. The purple Dune Buggy is by Lone Star. The little flower appears on many toy cars. Does anyone know its significance?

  1. The blue dune buggy looks very Lone Star, too. In the seventies Lone Star did a mailaway with Suncrush cordial, sending away a few quid and various paper collars from the bottles, got you one of six Californian Dune Buggies, plastic with free running wheels. My dad must have got through a lot of orange, as he got me all six! Expect an update some time in the near future... the flower is presumably emblematic of the summer of love hippy motif. Id have thought an old hippy like you would guess that!

  2. Old hippies like me are too busy relaxing to be bothered with anything as hard as guessing! Looking forward to the update.
