Blog reader and publisher Rob Godwin has told me about the sad passing of his friend Fred Ordway, who Rob describes as one of a
kind. Mr.Ordway advised Stanley Kubrick when he made 2001.
That's sad news indeed, having just recently enjoyed reading again Mr. Ordway's account of the procuction of 2001: A Space Odyssey in a recently published book on the heritage and the legacy of the film. Mr. Ordway was there in a right place at the right time where our imagination was in the process of making, giving his input to the film that has been an unbeatable inspiration for myself, in short the best film ever. Godspeed
