Back in the Day

Heres a little snap i've been carrying around since the mid sixties, from a keyring slide viewer. The portly chap in the sensible coat is, as you can probably guess from the slightly vacant expression and dodgy do; me, aged about 6 or 7.

It's been taken in a department store in Liverpool, now long gone and judging by the catalogue i'm possessively clutching, a shop called 'Currys'.

You can see various toys dotted around the grotty little grotto - probably the undermanager in a tinsel dressed store cupboard - such as Play-Doh and Sindy, but the most intruiging one is on the lower right.

Its clearly an early Dalek tie in, but what ? Can anyone tell me ?
