On the distant moon of Deneb, planetary surveyor Darlen has made a brief stop at a frontier mining town and found that the indigenous beings have a flair for sculpture with the abundant gold scattered around the area. However, his curiosity is piqued when he spots another alien artefact in the hut of one of the traders and elects to acquire it for his personal art collection.
