CENTURY 21 CAPTAIN SCARLET FRICTION DRIVE TOYS

Although  the fabulous  Zero X toy made by Century 21 is pretty high on everyone's want list I suspect that the C21 Captain Scarlet vehicles are also up there, especially the SPV judging by the crazy prices it's gone for recently on eBay.

Hers's a candid shot of my collection which I managed to get before silly money started changing hands,


Although most of the gadgets have long since ceased to work, the SPV is still my favourite.


The Captain Blue figure has managed to escape  from the ejector seat and has subsequently gone AWOL but there's still some nice detail inside including Captain Scarlet who's firmly glued to his seat.

    Beautiful toys Scoop. I don't think I had any of them as a kid so its great to seem them now. For some reason I only had the Dinky versions.

    The Dinky toys were classics and around for a lot longer than the C21 toys of course.
    What I do like about the C21 toy is the larger size, although being plastic , it's naturally much more fragile than it's Dinky counterpart.

    And we latebloomers just have to dig through our pockets for that silly money ... still waiting for that adorable SPV and the fragile Angel, plus a loose Mysteron Detector!

    Absolutely amazing! I would love to have a C21 SPV in my collection. The Saloon Car and Angel Fighter look equally brilliant.
