LUNAR ORBITER MODEL COMPETITION DEADLINE EXTENDED!

You will remember that as part of our 5th Birthday, Dennis Ray Wingo of LOIRP kindly agreed to donate one of their super cool small 3D printed model Lunar Orbiters. The model has been made by Andrew Filo of Special Projects, Cupertino. It is pictured here next to a US coin.

You will receive the model complete with an ultra- displayable custom LOIRP base as seen here [exact colours may vary]:

In order to get your hands on this beautiful mounted model from Dennis and LOIRP, all you need to do is WRITE A SHORT STORY , in English, in which an important part is a NASA Lunar Orbiter [s]. The story can be sci-fi, fantasy, romance, thriller, ghost story or any other form of creative non-fiction and should be family-friendly i.e. easilly publishable online without fear of offending anyone. The story must be no longer than 1000 words. It must be submitted to me, Woodsy [click here], by email by the EXTENDED closing date of:

Thursday 10th October 12 Midnight GMT [Greenwich Mean Time].

Dennis ray Wingo of LOIRP has also kindly agreed to judge the stories and Dennis will choose the winner. There will be one winner only, who will receive the winning prize Lunar Orbiter model direct from LOIRP. Dennis's decision will be final. The winning entry will also be published here on Moonbase Central during October.

So, c'mon guys, GET TYPING, get orbiting and start scribbling. You know you want that cool model!
