To mark Woodsy and Wote's return from each of their separate summer furloughs, I've found a painting I did way back in 1999.
I was obviously very much inspired by Keith Watson's Vauxhall Cavalier advert , but I thought this spaceport scene seemed somehow appropriate.
Welcome back, fellas
Welcome back guys and thanks Scoop for excellent Moonbase maintenance in the meanwhile. Great reads!
ReplyDeleteCheers Arto
Thanks Arto. Normal service should be resumed soon.
ReplyDeleteSuperb piece of work scoop and thanks for the in flight entertainment!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill. I bet you're glad to get back home to some proper British weather ; )
ReplyDeleteItll be nice to shift the Daniel Craig tan and get back to my customary blue pallor
ReplyDeleteYes, thanks muchly from me too Scoop. I've missed some fine blogs of yours whilst holidaying on the continent. Like Bill, we have enjoyed Europe's continuing heatwave and returned somewhat browner. Alas, we were greeted by torrential rain when we arrived at the Port of Hull this morning and I imagine my new tan will be washed off by the end of the week! Good ol' Blighty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting by the way Scoop! Looks brilliant! Is it painting by numbers or are you an artistic meastro too?
ReplyDelete'PAINTING BY NUMBERS'?! Ha ha you artistic philistine! Ha ha ha
ReplyDelete....and what has it to do with you pray tell Bill? I was enquiring of Scoops obvious dexterity with a paint brush and not yours! Ah yes, squabbling already! we're back!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely not painting by numbers, Woodsy. It's a 'proper' painting using gouache. Not being particularly fond of computer art I do like to dabble with the brushes when I get the time.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back guys and kudos to Scoop for holding down the fort!
ReplyDeleteScoop, that is a really cool picture. There's some definite diorama ideas there as well.
