TRACY ISLAND SECRETS REVEALED!

These are the Matchbox Thunderbird toys I bought for my son to go with his Tracy Island.

Thunderbird 1: That chewed  rubber nose cone lets the side down ( how I curse Health & Safety rules) but by and large it's survived  the twenty odd years reasonably well.

Thunderbird 2:  From this angle it's hard to tell that the pod is long gone. Lost on some difficult rescue or buried in the compost heap!

Thunderbird 3: This lovely toy has, despite another chewed nose cone survived the years well, probably because it was never really played with.

Thunderbird 4: Despite my son's  podless Thunderbird 2, Thunderbird 4  has remained. I suspect that's probably down to Dad.

Fab 1:  Considering Matchbox are renowned for creating accurate die-cast  model cars, their Fab 1 effort left a lot to be desired.

  1. I've still got two of each craft in pristine condition. However, I never really played with them, which makes all the difference.
