BABYLON 5 MICRO MACHINES

When the American space opera, Babylon 5 aired around 1994 I was instantly hooked and soon began to look for any associated merchandise.

The Micro Machines sets were very collectible and considering their size, quite well detailed.

Apart from the main ships, the sets featured tiny examples of  a number of ’guest’ spacecraft that were also seen in the show, as well as a brief rundown of each ship’s specifications.

From what I can gather, four sets were initially released in 1995, the first having the Babylon Station, a Vorlon Transport and a Green Ship commercial transporter.

The second,  a Vorlon Cruiser, a Narn Transport and a Raider Ship.

The third, a Centauri Transport, a Minbari Cruiser and a Star Fury.

The forth, Minbari Flyer, Narn Fighter and Babylon 5 Crew Transporter.

The following fifth and sixth sets were released in 1996.

The  fifth featured the Earth Alliance Atmospheric Shuttle, a Narn Heavy Cruiser and a Centauri Passenger Ship.

Finally, the sixth which contained the ‘Marie Celeste’ Transporter, Earth Force One and a Narn Heavy Dreadnaught.

It also seems some B5 Micro Machines could  be found on key rings as well.

  1. i loved the ship designs in 5, but found the show impossible to foloow, especially as it split off into the sub series, which is a shame, as it was was well produced and written. I love the Star Fury.
