From uber-collector and Scarlet expert Terry come these stunning shots of the rare Timpo realease of Captain Scarlet figures. The line-up clearly omits Captain Blue in favour of Lieutenant Green, but Terry does say that a canadian custom figure was briefly released recently.
As I mentioned earlier, these figures passed me by as a child and I actually thought that a good friend who said he had Scarlet as a boy, was pulling my leg!
Lovely figures. I imagine they were displayed loose in a box on a toy shop counter originally. What fun it will have been to reach up and grab one saying 'Mum, get me one of these!'. I oike the John Travolta Saturday Night Fever pose they have! Captain Scarlet fever!
ReplyDeleteaccording to my mate who had Scarlet - they were sold loose in a counter top box, where you could pick your own, just like the cowboys etc.
