  2. 9. Gyper Man (Madelman is a rip-off, Gyper man has the Hasbro/Palitoy accessories) some imported from Mexico I believe?

    Hugh

PS I don't know the answer to 3 without resorting to Google, but the boss of Lucky (LP and probably others featuring on these pages) was killed by the triads when he failed to pay back a gambling debt!

  3. 8. S.H.I.E.L.D. were the good guys in the Marvel Comics universe, whereas SMERSH and THRUSH were the baddies in their respective fictional settings.

Alternately, SMERSH might be the odd one out because it was the real-life Russian counterintelligence (wildly fictionalized for Ian Fleming's purposes) whereas SHIELD and THRUSH were entirely fictional!

  4. For #10 I'd go for M.A.C. which I seem to remember we decided stood for "Moving As Commanded" - sounds similar in style to Stingray's P.W.O.R. - got another idea for #8 too besides the ones posted.
All the best - John Swan

  5. Well done everyone! All correct! I'll have to make 'em harder! By the way, alternative answers are fine to see now on the answers already given - just for fun mind, they've all been correct so far [8 was SHIELD Richard and Hugh, I must ask you more about the Lucky Triad story!]

OK qizzers, what's left to do: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. New readers' answers please!

  6. It wasn't lucky - haha! I don't know more myself, just that he was gunned down in the street. But it explains why we know so little about all these obviously linked brands, it was one of the first 'big' - or bigger - names in HK to disappear following his demise.

Grif, great guess and a new one on me but not the one I had in mind. If a say Action dolls rather than figures it may help readers.
